The cunning business, based in Holsworthy, had glowing reports from swathes of satisfied customers.

Andy Cooper said: "Proprietor Kerry Smith offers more than 250 hats and 100 fascinators for hire and judges were impressed by positive feedback from customers who all appreciated her personal service, honesty with customers' choices and willingness to collect and drop off hats at customers' houses."

Kerry was praised for her unique customer service.

Runner up in this category were Devon Beach Weddings based at the Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe.

South Molton green company Source Renewable, picked up yet another award as highly commended in this category.
